Purigen, Zeolite or Carbon? - 04-19-2008, 03:10 AM

Hi,

I will be changing the gravel in my 55 gal tank to black flourite next week when I get more plants. It's been suggested that I do it in sections rather than all at once. Either way, should I use purigen, zeolite or matrix carbon to prevent an ammonia spike?

Thanks.
