I've previously signed up to the Barr Report forum a few weeks ago, do I need to do anything specific to join the UKAPS?

I do live in the UK by the way, the forums were just too interesting not to read, just haven't posted anything yet

Nice to see you here.

The UKAPS is still in its conception stages really, with no formal joining procedure per se, yet...

Take a look at the pinned threads here for starters. Please feel free to introduce yourself in "Welcomes and Intros" thread too.

The model that SFBAAPS and other local did was to simply say put me on the membership list, since there's no membership dues really, there's no real formal roster/$/procedural thing going on.

Simply come to meetings, be active etc and want to join is all.
As the more formal rules appear........or not........I think that is fine, those that want the club shall make it happen.

The club is what you folks want to make it.
I'm just offering some basis to do it as cheap and effectively as I know how, and to acquire a large member base asap.

How you run it is entirely up to you.
Somethings might work better for your specific needs in the UK.

Yes, go forth and grow plants, help out with the group in some small way that you have to offer.
