4°Kh reference solution - Aquarium Plants

Hi all
Been reading a couple of threads both on here and another forum and was wondering is there anywhere in the UK to buy a made up reference solution as it seem the DIY way is a bit hit and miss or at least a bit trouble some to make.

Richard from Aqua Essentials will have some in shortly. The lab sent 1.6°Kh previously instead of the ordered 4°Kh.

Thatv issue should be resolved and was not the fault of AE, he had ordered the 25,000ppm and got 10,000ppm as well as the 25,000ppm, so that gave an error when diluting.

Anyway, mystery solved, we had no such issues here, but they did not swap the 10K for 25 K either..............

I can bring along some free 4dKH to any get togethers. I have the means to make a pretty accurate batch of the stuff.

Aquaessentials said the bromo blue indicators, but which are they?

I use the Nutrafin low-range pH kit reagent.

I have the API Freshwater testkit.
Is the pH indicator solution (low range) in this ok?

I am not totally sure, but I think that by definition a low pH range reagent will be Bromo Blue. Is your reagent blue from the bottle, and still blue when added to the 4dKH?

I use the Nutrafin reagent, which is definitely Bromo Blue.
