$12 for shipping is too much for me, rather buy from others in forum.

Thanks for the link though.

$12 for shipping probably seems too high, but the last time I shipped some plants I did some calculating of my actual costs to do so, and I was surprised. It cost's me over $1 for gas to go to and from the post office. The postage is now $4.75. PayPal fees are now about $.80. That totals $6.55. If you consider your time worth even $10 an hour, it takes enough time to bring that up to $12. So, I don't consider $12 to be high. I do consider $25 to be high.

Hey,

According to the Website, they will not ship live plants via ground.

The lowest alternative that I see to select is 16.43 for 2nd day air.

Just curious where you see the shipping is $12?

I just placed an order with them and chose the next day air.

Is worth it to me to get them faster and in better shape.........

Thanks,

Gerry.

Augus, the best method is to get plants at a local plant club swap meet.
Depends on where you live.

We have 4 plant clubs in CA alone.
With high temps here, shipping without higher cost express mail during summer is impossible. HC is very prone to melt and turn to mush.

All,

I just received an order from Aquarium Plants.com today.

I ordered 3 bunches each of 17 different plants. All stem plants.

Packing was excellent. They made two subs for something they didn't have, but also added extra, so I am happy with the sub. One of the subs, they gave me 2 other species.

All plants look GREAT and are in wonderful shape. Very full, nice height, etc. Fresh colors!
Very few dead leaves so far, but am still unpacking/rinsing.

I also got some HC (potted) and looks good as well.

First time I have seen it in person. Is TINY! Can see why it is known as DWARF Helzine

I would recommend them and will use them again.

Thanks.

Gerry.
