Hi all,

I have the following fish that I would like to give to a good home:

11 Bosemani Rainbows - 7 large males and 2 med and 1 large females. 1 juvenile 1" that I think may be a female and is the only survivor of fry in the community tank from the adults....

Males qre 2.5-3.5 in total length. Are BIG and fat and beautifully colored.....

3 Large SAE

Must take all fish, I will not split up.

I live in Boca Raton, FL and will deliver if within reasonable distance......10-20 miles, if pickup is an issue for you.

Fish are in great health and are kept in 180 gallon tank. I have large school of cardinals and 2 schools of dwarf cichlids, and these fish no longer 'fit' with where I want to go. Have enjoyed them a lot, but I am at heart a small fish lover. Pencils and dwarfs are my favorites........

I want to get some more Nannostomus eques. I have only one left. They will be my new surface fish as the Bosemanis take up the entire top third.....Also need another 50 cardinals to refresh the school.

Have lost other rainbows and SAE due to jumping out of the tank and don't want to happen to my buddies...... Open top tank........

Will give to LFS if no takers......

SAEs jump out of tanks? Heck, I'd better get my full-sized hood up and running soon. None of my 4 SAEs have jumped yet.

I used to have a school of 10 SAEs.....

they seem to jump in pairs. 1 goes one night, and another the next, as if it misses it's friend, or is a search party that also never returns like a horror flick.......

I swear that 4 times this happen between the 12 rainbows and SAE that have gone over to the dark side as it were.......

So, I am now down to 3 large SAE and the rainbows.............

The rainbows look beautiful, even from that distance.
Your cardinals look huge (I just bought 9 that are less than an inch). The cichlids look like they might eat a small cardinal...

Have about 65-85 cards(?) some of which are >2 years old. They can get big with enough room and diet. Want to get to about 150 total......

Feed all my fish the following:

Live blackworms
Srambled egg (they ALL love this stuff) just be judicious as it oils up the water and breaks up very fine. but great for pencils with their small mouths and for fry...
Plain grilled chicken. they go nuts for it.

2 varieties of flake food.

I switch during the week so they always get a bit of each. Eggs and chicken are a treat, mostly the blackworms and flake.

Cichlids never harm anybody, even the smallest tetra.....at least for me...

Wouldn't leave them around newborn fry, but are very peaceful fish...

What dwarf cichlids are those? Bolivians?

good guess based on the head shape......

But they are Anomalochromis thomasi - the african butterfly cichlid from Sierra Leone and Liberia......

The blurry one at top center that is facing right and the blurry one to the right facing the same way among the cardinals are Laetacara dorsigera.

I have 10 of each species and a single very large (and lonely) male Laetacara curviceps. Still looking in vain for some other L. curviceps so he is not the only one.

The laetacara are known as the smiling acaras due to a series of bands around it's head give it the appearance of a smile. I like happy fish lol

The are all similar in temperment and behaviour.... excellent eaters with a lot of display/mating behaviour. It's funny to see the males square off against another species so close in size.......both are more open spawners and are used to current.....

I live in Miami and am very tempted to take you on for the free fish but, may be a bit much for my 125gal, which has the following:
5 Mid sized angels
3 Bose rainbows
3 Turquoise rainbows
10 cardinal tetras
6 corys
2 2-1/2" plecos
It is planted and runs on 2 Eheim 2217 canister filters, 1 Aqua Clear 50 power head with filter,1 25 watt UV.

I'd like to know how you keep the Wisteria so short.

No effort on my part

Wisteria (IME) has a great propensity to grow outward at gravel level.

As it crawls forth all over, the height stays < 2-3". When it finally cannot expand outward, it starts to grow more vertically, as well as start doubling back on itself. It can get very thick in a short amount of time.

Older sections grow more vertically so you get a nice arrangement of low to high.

I have found gravel bound stems (runners) over 10" long from this weed that had no leaves on it, as it was under wood or shadows of itself. Soon as it had a clear spot, out shot some leaves........

I started out with 3-4 stalks 2 months ago and has since covered over 35% of the surrounding area before I trimmed it back.......

Lovely plant, fast growing, offers shelter, fish like to nibble it, etc.

As far as your tank load, I have the following in my 180:

10 bose rainbows
20 dwarf cichlids
3 SAE
75-80 cardinals
1 ancistrus
18-22 various corys

and have no issues........

That being said, your angels are what would stop me, as they will get bigger eventually and need space.
