Thread: ADA Garden Hooks

    ADA Garden Hooks

Any idea where I might be able to get these or something similar that will fit over 5/8" inch glass? I'm going to need a top for my rimless tank before I start adding any expensive jumpers. I'd like for it to sit down inside the tank on the clips so I don't have to relocate my wires for my powerheads.

Sheet metal place can make them for you, might cost 20-40$ etc.

I use glass lids but place the edges on the outside dimension vs the inside.

I use felt pads and just sit the top on there.

If I need in the tank, I just pull them off and set of some towels by the side of the tank

They won't have much weight on them. I'm not going to use glass. Also goofed the glass thickness. Its 3/8". Actually I'm thinking my overflow box might raise some issues with that now that I look at it.

There is a store in Toronot Canada that sell them, unfortunatley they do not ship, if you know someone in this neck of the woods they can mail them for you, i would but i`m 4.5 hrs away from Toronto but do get down there sometimes if you want to go this route PM me with location & glass thickness in mm.

I have a friend in Asia that might be able to do the same thing for me. Thanks for the offer though.

Cord organizer clips that I picked up at the hardware store. They're pretty cheap around $2 or so. They only come in white so I painted them with Plastidip and used Gorilla brand super glue to attach them to the edge of the glass. They're pretty easy to get off if I need to remove them but strong enough to keep the dry side in place. I didn't want to use the ones that came with it because I didn't want to see them from inside the tank.

  9. I own a CurrentUSA Cardiff aquarium and it has a glass lid that that sits inside the top of the tank with 4 clear "Glass Top Suspension Clips". I believe you can purchase these separate.

I already built the screen top for that tank. I relocated the wires to the sides. Used clear silicone to attach the cable clips. I only use the screen at night and when I'm not home. Thanks though.
