    Cabinet swap

    Hey all,

After speaking with Henry earlier, we have switched from the Deep Blue cabinet to a Perfecto Pine stand instead...

    http://www.marineland.com/sites/mari...l.aspx?id=3439

I like the look a bit better and Henry and I feel the quality is better....The back is more open as well which I like...

So, he is hoping to deliver sometime this Thursday afternoon....

Will be nice to at least have all but the lights and conduit bar....

I could still scape it and fill with water, get the filter up and running, etc. Even w/o a light will be okay..

We'll see. I want to experiment with a dry scape and I need the specimen branch and others first

so, no water w/o all the manzy
    Thanks,

    Gerry.

I'll see you on Thursday Gerry! Can't wait to be apart of the process...

Do you already have a piece of DW in mind or one on the way from Tom?

Will you be using ADA substrate again?
    Thanks

    JJ

    Hey JJ,

Well, we are just getting it out of Henry's vehicle into my apt

I have some wood here but Tom has the specimen at his place...

Yes, I have a case of ADA so may as well use some of it.....

    See ya soon.....
    Thanks,

    Gerry.

    Hey all,

Well Henry was just here to deliver my new setup!

The tank is very nice....Stand is better than the DB brand fer sure....I had Henry bring up a DB 4x39w light fixture while I debate putting an ATI on it....

I have an Eheim pro III for filtration and a rio 180 for an internal NW for c02...but may use the eheim external model again....

JJ will be here later and I am sure will agitate to set it up immediately...

Henry also brought a new pro III for my 220 so we could swap the head assembly. Flow was definitely better with the new head and matches the output of the other...

I will post pics later of the new stuff....

    Later.
    Thanks,

    Gerry.

Can't wait to see pics. This makes me want to swap out my freshwater tank which I've been considering rescaping anyway when I get around to it.

    Hi Mark,

It is Htomassini who is a member here...He and his wife have opened a nice LFS and he has been supplying for my 220 and all the stuff for the new tank, except the ADA and manzy wood

    Pics

    Hey all,

A few pics of the new stuff.....I like it all but sure wish the mfg would remember not to use the heavy glue on stickers placed on the glass. Took me 20 minutes so far to remove and clean that shit off....Still not happy with it...

    Enjoy!

    More pics

Here are a few more...the manzy piece is shown from several angles and will become my cliff wall....not sure if I will trim it gently or not.....not much if any....

Tom said that my new specimen branch and some 'better' (in his words) pieces are on the way...Tom feels his pieces are nicer than my selection (!) and that with these other branches I will have several options for the scape. There should be some misc branches tossed in and with what I still have, I should have enough...

If I can pull it off, I think I will like the scape and it will look good. The hardscape I see in my mind, but not yet the total planting...I see a lot of that but not all. I will use species from my 220 for the most part...

    Later!

Gerry I like it very much! I'm sorry I couldn't make it but I just wasn't feeling well enough for the drive.

I can come up next Wednesday and hangout. Maybe you're ready to start planting... I really enjoy the blue night lights.

How does the DB lamp work for you? It is a very nice looking fixture and looks like it is built well. I'm sure it works good or Henry would not have sold it to you.
    Thanks

    JJ
