    CSM+B, how much?

    Hi guys

I've just made my own solution of CSM+B. I added 100 gram to 1000ml of water. How much should I add for my planted 100l (26g) using the Estimative Index?

Here's the contents according to the manufacturer's site (50gr/500ml):

    Element micromol/L ppm (mg/L)
    B 27,70 0,30
    Cu 0,79 0,05
    Fe 33,30 1,86
    Mn 8,74 0,48
    Mo 0,52 0,05
    Zn 4,30 0,28

It also contains Fe, does that mean I no longer have to add Fe separately? I'm pretty new to this since I've always been using Profito for my trace elements.

    Thanks!

    Gilles

I have the same one and use 10 ml per 100 liters of water, dosing 1x per week. Mind that profito also contains K+, Ca and Mg. I don't add additional Fe.

Just FYI. That dose of CSM+B solution adds right at 0.65ppm Fe into 100L.

    So Profito is more "complete"?

Yep. I don't use it because there's enough K+ through the KNO3 and there's enough Ca and Mg in the tapwater here. Just a matter of economics basically.

Dutchy, apparently I was looking at the wrong product. This is the one I mixed:

Basically it's CSM+B with extra magnesium and K+

    According to wets calculator :

Your dose of 100.0 g Plantex CSM+B into your 1000.0 mL container, with doses of 10.0 mL into a 26.0gal tank gives:

    Element ppm/degrees
    B 0.12
    Cu 0.01
    Fe 0.66
    Mg 0.14
    Mn 0.19
    Mo 0.01
    Zn 0.04
    dGH 0.03

If you are doing EI Method the EI target ranges are:

    CO2 range 25-35 ppm
    NO3 range 10-30 ppm
    K+ range 10-30 ppm
    PO4 range 1.0-2.0 ppm
    Fe .2-0.5ppm or higher
GH range 1-2 degrees "extra" 17-40 ppm or higher

    Here are the links:

    EI method:

    Wet's calculator:

I dose my 55G tank micro nutrients three times a week...SUN-TUE-THU. However, my dose is different as my solution is 500ml and I dose 60ml 3x a week.

Fir my macros:I do the same dose as for micros I do this as the solution is meant to last close to three weeks. The faster the solution is used the less chance of getting mold on it. If anyone else can guide me on what I can add to my solution to prevent this from happening I would be very grateful.

    Hope this helps.

@All; the products referenced are the products i sell; the latter one (complete plant nutrition) is modeled after the recipe on "The Krib" which states to add additional K and Mg to make it complete. The only thing that is missing is "Ca".

I tend to dose about 0.4ppm of Fe per dosing which is 3-5x a week.

Pretty rich compared to everyone else.

I think you are too low with your prescribed dosage on both.....
