Happy to take over your Tonina Lotus if you want to ship them to Oz?

doubt they'd make it unless it was express and the huge $ and then getting past ag inspectors over there is tougher than the USA, for good reasons.

Also, I did the uproot and replant the tops method the Red Ludwigia, this works better for this plant in the mid/foreground, but topping is good in the background.

Type 1 and type 3 Erio setaceum:

The problem ATM Right hand side:

the Tonina lotus blossom needs to grow out and I can trim off the ratty lower parts, some with the lower stems on the regular Tonina, then I need to allow the Red Pantanal to fill in that row fully.

I'm considering replacing the Gloss with the Downoi and allowing the Downoi to fatten up and make a green triangle. Gloss is a bit more work and stays lower in general, nice contrast here. But that was never the original intent either. Downoi is a nice easy plant that would make a nice contrast as well in this same spot.

The last thing is the Nesaea in the rear and the Ammannia gracilius which I have not yet located. I'll get some and make some changes in the shape of the groups in the rear.

Otherwise, as long as the shrimp do not eat the Erios, I'm pretty close to having things stable and where I want.

Then it's trim trim trim and wait for the right timing.

Great tank! With only 7 hours of light, does this mean that your tank is mostly dark during the day? At what time come your lights on?

Yes, it is dark most of the day and night. Comes on about 12 noon and goes off a little after dinner at 7pm.

Also means the light is intense for 5 hours.........

I can dial this down and say run at 40% of the intensity and extend this to say 10-11 hours......

But I seem to get more growth from the Erio and a few of the stem plants that looks nicer and the fish have less CO2 stress per 24 hour day.

I removed and replanted the UG and the Gloss rug is now gone, replaced with the Downoi stumps I had left after selling off most of it.

Looks MUCH better and there's more space, not so crowded looking.

I have just 2-3 more changes till I'll be fairly close to being "happy".
But I'll likely find something else that needs changed
