    Video and pics of my macro scape

    I posted in here a while back about live sand, here is the tank I was working on. I eventually got sick of working on it and broke it down.

    Thank you. yes, I would say this particular tank required more manual work than a high tech PT and a reef tank combined. In the picture below you can see some of the pink-ish epiphytic tufts of nuisance macro growing throughout the tank, it was very unsightly and I had to remove at least a pint of this and other stuff weekly. The glass was also a pain to keep clean. In a 30" tall tank this is something I'd rather do every few months. To make it worse, some macros don't attach like rhizome plants, and can be somewhat fragile, so after plucking epiphytes out I would have broken stands which I spent so much time growing out, I would have to reattach things and scoop out more fragments, it was a triple job every week. Next time I do a macro tank it'll be much shorter.
