EI and fish breeding, now F2 Sturisoma

This is my 180 Gal tank, I dose 15ppm of NO3 as KNO3 3x a week, ADA AS(about 4 years old now) 5ppm PO4 and the CO2 hits about 60-70ppm, light is about 40micromol on the bottom. Lots of current, lots of fish etc.

So, how many folks that claim this dosing is bad, can say the same?
    I wonder.........

These adult breeding fish have never seen any other aquarium.

Awesome.. I originally came to this site like a year ago because of the macro algae section, and after lurking about and seeing this 180 and a few other tanks I have "seen the light".

    absolutely cool

Many times it seems dosing, CO2, etc. get a bad rap from those that do not have the experience to rule out other issues and blame things other than their own care and the conditions they are providing.

I am counting the days til I can have such success (and a large tank!).

    Thanks for sharing, Tom.

I have Angels, Discus, Apistos and Congo tetras breeding continiously with about the same tank parameters as Tom. Not very rare fish, but anyway....

Nice fish by the way, do they uproot plants?

    I will get there...

Do you have issues with fry being eaten? Do you remove them or do anything special?

The fry are removed and placed in a bare bottom tank with dual sponge filters etc in ther garage.
Once they are about 2", they are placed in the main tank again.
