As you know, the VTS453 models are larger than the VTS253's, but they are about the same size as the HPT270's. This one is new plus it is already set up for CO2 duty. It is a "D" model and it has a 0 to 200 psi low pressure gauge.
Yeah, that sucker is a heavy duty regulator (the 450 series), and it has stainless diaphrams, iirc.
    Heavy sucker.

What brand and model of regulator is it? I see that you sold your Concoa and your Matheson 8 is for sale. That's all I see on this site. I don't know what I'm looking for.

I went online and found the part number for a Victor gauge that I needed to replace the broken one. Then I went to my local Victor dealer and he ordered it. It was around $10 if I remember correctly. The gauge was made by AMETEK US Gauge.

Regulator and Torch Exchange, Inc may be able to help you too. Give them a ring or an email.

    Sure. You are very welcome.

Check with Matt. He might have a chrome low pressure gauge for sale. The gauges come in 2" and 2 1/2" versions.

well I made a boo boo, its the high pressure side I need. 0-4000 psi gauge is off a little. Should I even replace this? I dont really need to see exactly where the tank level is, as long as its close. Whats everyone think?

    The part number is 1424-0285.

It depends on what is causing the needle to not read right. Internal problem, bent needle, needle shaft bent or twisted, etc.

Can you post a picture of it?

The gauge isn't very expensive if you did replace it.

Depending on the problem, you might be able to get away with not replacing it.

I would replace or fix it. Why not? I don't want to have to remember to subtract/add a value of N when reading a guage. C02 can be dangerous to the critters, so anything that reduces risk or increases the visibilty of potential risk is a good thing.

Plus, is nice to have a fully working regulator....
    Thanks,

    Gerry.
