Photoperiod and macroalgae
Hey everyone.
I am living on Tenerife, canary islands and I preparing for mounting a macroalgae tank with species from tide pool. I have almost everything planned out but i need to know about photoperiod.
Is it true that caulerpas gos sexual in aquarium with a normal photoperiod? or it`s only for NO3 deficiency.
PS.- Sorry for any wrong spelling, last time i wrote in english was on 2000

The photo period in the tropics is the same pretty much year round.
That's where most of the genus is from, there are more species in the Caribbean. So the main factors seem to be nutrients and temperature.
Warmer temps= more grereen species, coller temps= more Reds, at least that is the seaonal patterns I've seen there and also in cololer water systems over a few decades.
