I haven't found a Sacramento area place that sells the chemicals we use as fertilizers, but two website stores offer cheap fertilizers with acceptable shipping costs: One is Rex Grigg's store Rex's ferts
The other is a Bay Area place, Aquarium Plant Food - hobbyist taking care of hobbyist … This used to be Greg Watson's fertilizer store, before he sold the business to pursue other interests.
