    Longest dry-start ever. Now: water!

So I've had a dry-start going since August of last year. Consequently, my Eleocharis P. carpet is pretty thick! That is no issue, however.

I've filled the tank now, and had it running for a couple of days. No additives just yet - only CO2. I'm starting to see a bit of BGA (95% sure that is it) on the tips of the EP, and some on the front glass sediment. Should I do anything about it except vacuum it when i do a WC? Doing one every day at the moment. I'm thinking it'll go away once the filter kicks in.

Here is a pic of the tank for any curious people: http://bildr.no/view/1397295 (Not doing a "scape". I just wanted something green in my living room!)

    Cheerio

(ps. shi-. Did I post in the wrong forum?)

I'd do 50% water changes every 2-3 days for about 3-4 weeks.

Hairgrass will take sometime to convert, the leaves you grew will need trimmed eventually.

Submersed leaves will fill in and be nice.

Give it 3-6 weeks before you trim though.

I will make sure to do that. The leaves are quite long now, some over 15cm. Do you think I need to do anything directly to the algae? It doesn't seem to be spreading very fast, at least not day to day. It is just visible on the tips of some leaves and on the front gravel.
