Hey everyone

This is my first post on the forum but I have lurked around here for a while. I am looking to do Tom's non co2 method for my tank and I have a few questions. First some tanks specs; My tank is a 46 gallon bow front thats fully cycled and stocked with 5 long fin red minor tetras, 4 guppies, 1 opaline gourami, and 1 bristle nose pleco. There is red flint brand sand on the bottom and some rocks, driftwood, and fake plants. Tech for the tank is two modified emperor biowheels, 125 watt ehiam jager heater, a finnex ray 2 36" double 7,000k (I know this light is proably on the bright side for a non co2 tank but it is over a dirty glass lid and the parents don't want the higher wattage of other types of lights).

On to questions

1 For substrate I want to do a bag of flourite red, Shultz aquatic plant soil (turface), and capped with red flint brand sand. will this work? Should I add anything else like peat, potash, or anything else?

2 where is the cheapest place to buy dry ferts

3 What are some examples of good plants for this setup

4 could I add a fleet of otos 4 or so

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post
