Cerges reactor on canister inlet

hello,

could you please share with me what are the advantages/disatvantages of cerges reactor put inline but on the canister inlet ?

i can name a few disatvantage (maybe miths) that i got as reply:
-damages to seals
-damages to filter bacteria
-gas build up in the filter

as advantages i see bigger contact suface to break the bubble of CO2 in filter.

Hi, I don't think putting it on the INLET of the filter is the best option.. Water needs to be pushed through a reactor IME/IMO.

I just don't think it will work as efficiently. Up to you of course. Did you see the thread I did on cerges and Bryemans' issues when he did this?

You have put Cerges reactor on outlet,then your only small disanvantage will be a little reduced flow on canister filter!

You put it on the outlet side, so the water is being pushed through.

1. Not sure how this will damage your seals.
2. Will not harm anything inside the filter as it is on the outlet side.
3. This will not cause any gas build up in the filter.

As Kamilstrom said, it will reduce flow a little.

I have put it on the outlet, seems more logical about the water flow.

I have tried also on the inlet, but the results were poor ... had sprite in my aquarium which I don't like at all.
Also, I have put sponge in the Cerges so the effect of CO2 diffusing to be better.
