LEDS for a 12 long

I just flooded my tank the other day and have quickly found out my current lighting will not cut it unless it is basically sitting on the rim and i hate that! I have a full carpet of hc and pressurized co2 so i would like to be in the med to high light region. I have gone all out on this tank and really want it to be a show stopper, no corner cut tank.

So this brings me to wanting leds on this tank. I recently bought a reef keeper lite which will do dimming and i just have to try this. The unfortunate thing is between work and a upcoming baby i do not have even close to the time to go the diy route. Plus i really dont think i have the knowledge or patience to do it

I have found a site called buildmyled.com that i think has some pretty awesome options. I think i have narrowed it down to their planted tank offering. My question is should i go for a 24" or 36" model. Also what degree of optics i could use.

Do you guys think I would be better off with the 24" fixture with say 60 or 75 degree optics to cover the missing foot? Or should I go with the 36" fixture with say 40 degree optics. Kinda leaning towards the 36" fixture then suspending it and possibly running it at lower power with the rkl. I plan on moving to a much bigger tank so I figure I can just run the fixture on low for now then have an awesome light when I go bigger.

Hoping to place my order tomorrow since I am unsure how long they will take to build the fixture and my plants really need more light.
