Dwarf Bolbitus

Hey all,

A few months back iirc I purchased two dwarf bolbitus plants at the same time as the hair grass. I stuck one in each tree and sat back..

The one did not make it. The other however has turned into a decent specimen and very attractive. It did NOTHING for a long time it seemed, and then one day it seemed to take off and has done well since.

I know even Tom said his specimen sat as well and eventually died off.

I have mine in a high flow/high c02 area. At first it was shaded heavily by moss but now sits in over 180 mmoles... And does very well.

I hope to grow some more as it is really nice!

However, I don't seem me even splitting the rhizome anytime soon. I can be patient.....kind of lol

At least it's not the mini stuff, that is an emergent plant, I tried to grow it in 3 tanks, did not grow, as soon as I placed it in an emergent condition, it grew extremely well.......... light, ferts did not matter.

There is a 'mini' variety as well as the 'dwarf'?

I was under the impression that bolbitus for the most part did grow emersed along rivers/waterfalls and the like...

I will keep an eye on this specimen and it's growth patterns...
