MTS with Aqua Soil, Any benefit?

I've transferred my fish over to a new 185 that has Aqua Soil in the bottom. In old tank, I had regular gravel and lots of Malaysian Trumpet Snails to work through the gravel keeping it from clumping and developing anaerobic conditions (at least that was the thought some years ago).

The Amazonia AS seems very light so not sure if the tank will benefit from MTS. Will MTS benefit my new tank? if not I'll leafve them out

    Hi Mark,

I have a good # of these MTS in my tank and some are quite large. Personally, I find them attractive and they are mostly nocturnal, where at night they are all over the glass...

I feel that even though ADA is light, that they play the same role, regardless of substrate, whether plain gravel, ADA, whatever.

I feel that it is more trouble keeping them out and worrying about them than leaving them alone.

    Hope this helps.

    Let's see some pics already
    Thanks,

    Gerry.
