Would a conversion from liters to cubic inches be helpful is determining how much Aquasoil that is needed?
- 1 liter = 61.0 cubic inches
- 3 liters = 183.1 cubic inches
- 9 liters = 549.2 cubic inches
Here are the footprints of some commonly used aquariums. Each inch of substrate depth requires x liters. If a 3" substrate depth is wanted, multiply the liters given by 3. As an example, a 3" substrate depth in a 29g = 5.9 liters per inch x 3" = 17.7 liters.
- 10g, 15 High and 20 X = 20" x 10" x 1" = 200 cubic inches = 3.3 liters per inch
- 15g, 20 High, 25g and 30 X = 24" x 12" x 1" = 288 cubic inches = 4.7 liters per inch
- 20 Long, 29g and 37g = 30" x 12" x 1" = 360 cubic inches = 5.9 liters per inch
- 30g, 38g, 45g = 36" x 12" x 1" = 432 cubic inches = 7.1 liters per inch
- 30 Breeder, 40 Breeder, 50g and 65g = 36" x 18" x 1" = 648 cubic inches = 10.6 liters per inch
- 33 Long, 40 Long and 55g = 48" x 12" x 1" = 576 cubic inches = 9.4 liters per inch
- 75g, 90g and 110 X = 48" x 18" x 1" = 864 cubic inches = 14.2 liters per inch
- 120g = 48" x 24" x 1" = 1152 cubic inches = 18.9 liters per inch
- 125g and 150g = 72" x 18" x 1" = 1296 cubic inches = 21.2 liters per inch
- 180g and 210g = 72" x 24" x 1" = 1728 cubic inches = 28.3 liters per inch
