I know it's heading up because I tested it with a gh test kit. My tap water has a gh of 7 and the water in my tank is gh 12. I was using it per this thread...
Well, I would agree, but I don't want to keep adding it as my dosing routine and have the gh go up to some crazy high amount. I think I will skip the Equilibrium for now and just Flourish instead,...
I have had the tank setup for 2 years and haven't changed anything. However, I just now tested the gh back in November. I had never tested it before. I'm just wondering if maybe I shouldn't be dosing...
I was using the non co2 dosing method per the sticky. I was using seachem equilibrium and seachem NPK liquids until they run out and I'll switch to dry ferts. However, my main concern is the...
I had one of those coralife digital thermometers and I found it to be inaccurate. I remember reading a post on some forum (can't remember which one) and a guy had 3 of them on the same tank, and they...
Wow! I guess I should have read the directions in the first place. I was just used to doing it like most other API tests. Now that I shaked up the bottle and the test tube for a minute I got results....
I would say Seachem is very lean on there dosing. I didn't shake the #2 bottle at all, so I guess I completely screwed that up. Will test again.
thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the info. I forgot about FertFriend... I couldn't remember the name actually. haha I do have some frogbit floating, so it could be sucking it up.
I was dosing excel to battle some...
Does it matter if I'm using liquid instead of dry ferts? I'm using seachem. I added some to some water, then filled up the test tube and added the drops. The color stayed yellow, which is 0ppm on the...
Thanks. I'll add some to some water and test it out and up my dosing to 2 times a week.
I have a low light non CO2 tank. When I first set it up I was doing the EI method with excel. Then I stopped dosing or doing anything, but I kept up on my water changes. Slowly but surely I was...
Thank you sir. I appreciate the response. I guess I will go ahead and do the excel in hopes that it will get rid of the BBA that is popping up.
Thank you for clearing that up. I think by me doing water changes so often, I have created algae. I have a little bit of what I think is Brush Algae and a couple of small spots of either hair or...
Hey guys. I would like to get some advice from you regarding my low light, non CO2 tank and water changes.
Here are the specs.
29 Gallon with about 1.5 wpg of light.
Flora - Java Ferns,...
