27.5 will be fine.
At my house in summer my temps get over 30C and this plant pretty much falls to pieces.
So as long as you are under 30 you should be fine in this regard.

How warm is your water? In my experience this stuff disintegrates if it gets too warm.
Otherwise, co2 fluctuating will be it for sure.
Great video with excellent commentary! Thanks for sharing and looking good.
Your accent is cool too. :D
Sounds like all your experience is paying off... Good stuff.
Keep the updates coming.
Tubing inserts fitted, all seems to be working ok.
I found that 1 1/4 turns wasn't quite enough to make a leak tight seal, so I tightened it another 1/4 turn and now it seems fine. I suspect I...
Cheap soft allen keys in the bin.
Bought a good quality set of allen keys and the handle screw came out straight away.
The cheap ones don't fit as snuggly in the hex socket and the shoulders...
It won't budge - eventually the allen key just slips.
I tried soaking it in WD40 (in case it has rusted somewhere in the thread), and also tried applying varying degrees of heat from a soldering...
While waiting for the new tube fittings to arrive, I decided to fit the vernier handle. I'm stuck right at the start though - I can't get the handle screw out - the little 1/16 hex grub screw, it is...
I've noticed a few of those nylon washers having ridges on the face.
Is this necessary for a seal? Will a perfectly flat nylon washer work?
Impossible to find these things here, I have...
Thanks gsjmia.
They look to be different to the regular tap ones.
I may have had some luck today and found some nylon washers of the right diameters that are 1/16" thick, so about 1.5mm thick....
I concur. Low NO3, poor bio filtration/build up of organics, lots of light...
How much light are you gunning this with?
For me, this problem went away when I turned the lights down, added an...
I'm not having any luck finding a 3/4" x 1/2" nylon washer that is thicker than 1mm, which I think would probably crack.
I have been able to find a regular tap fibre washer of these diameters...
Well done mate, let's see how it goes over the next few weeks....
Yes, Tom if its possible to come up with something that helps people dial their CO2 in.
I'm sure you were anticipating that one. :-)
A good solid book, with all your ideas polished and easily...
Ah beauty!
Cheers mate!
Given that the port (i.e. the "hole") on the B-SS4-A is 1/4", so ~6.35mm in diameter, it would seem crazy if the .35mm extra mattered, so, yeah this looks like it should...
oldpunk, so the B-405-3 won't be close enough to use?
Can't seem to find a 4mm equivalent that will go in b-ss4....
Thanks for your help, appreciate it.
Received all the bits today, needle valve and vernier handle look good, but unfortunately the b-405-2 insert doesn't fit inside my tubing, so my tubing isn't 1/8" ID, it's larger than that.
The OD...
Looking really nice. How much Co2 are you using?
Tom what about DOC and CO2?
Looks awesome! Great video!
They do, but with a 1/4" diameter hole in the middle, this hole is too small for my regulator.
I need a 10mm hole in the middle, so 1/2" is close enough, outer diameter still the same at 3/4".
...
Cool, I've since found the build thread and have had a good read through it. Good stuff.
I also read the thread where Tom visited you and said "it takes what it takes" with your CO2 usage. Seems...
Thanks Mike, but I ended up getting a Swagelok instead.
Thanks for your help all the same.
Yeah, I need washers.
These will fit: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50-Nylon-Washers-19mm-O-D-X-12-5mm-I-D-X-1mm-Thk-/130872801546?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e78a0790a
But - do you think...
Ha! I just read about somebody DIY'ing their own out of cardboard....this might seem to seal ok, but I bet there is a silent leak.
I need 19mm OD and 10mm ID. I can't find nylon ones in this...
