How many in your opinion it is possible to submit CO2 - 11-05-2006, 10:58 PM

At me an aquarium capacity of 495 litres-131 gallon, illumination of 12 hours, 240 Watt,
СO2., kH 22-25, pH 7.6-7.8 fish: 40-50 black molly, 5-6 Ancistrus, shrimps Kardina.
How many in your opinion it is possible to submit CO2 (in quantity bulb in a second) what to receive saturation 15-20pmm.

Instead of trying to set the bubbles per second, hoping that will give you enough CO2 in the water, try using what ADA calls a "drop checker". See this thread on another forum for details:DIY Drop Checker - Page 5 - Aquatic Plant Central- aquascaping...a living art
This method works very well to show you that you have enough CO2 in the water.

It really depends more on the type of CO2 diffuser you use.

If you use a disc, the CO2 diffusers that make fine mist bubbles, then likely around 4/sec.

But this is just a guess!!

That is about as close as I can say, generally, folks measure the pH and KH.

Since your KH is 22-25 degrees (Is this "German degrees" or ppm's?, a target pH of 7.1 to 7.2 will be good.

If the KH is 22-25ppm, a target of 6.0 or so will be good.

Note, take this reading and watch the fish the last 6 hours or so of the light cycle.
