Just move this thread if I'm wrong, because I'm not really sure.

First of all, I want to thank Tom Barr for starting this forum, it has helped me and everyone else with unlimited knowledge. This is a professional environment with a little scent of humor. I'm one of the many people who do not post, but just read the threads. This may be even my first post :P

So I myself, am an Engineering major at Purdue University, although Graphic Design is my true passion. I always wanted to major in Graphic Design, but I believe I realized that there is just not enough money involved. Some say just do it if you love it. Maybe I will realize this years later, but who knows, right now I will stick to engineering. Moving on, I thought seeing as I'm a graphic designist (I just made up a word), that you guys need a new banner or logo, whichever you call it. For those who are confused, It's the thing at the top of the page, which I will copy below:


I was bored yesterday so I decided to make one just for fun, and see how it turned out. So here is what I made, if you like it, then you can change it, if you don't, it's fine also. I just think a forum like this shouldn't have a amateur logo with green drop shadows or cheesy vignettes. Here are my 2 different versions:





It is a png due to the fact that I made the background transparent, so It will match the background of the forum. As you can see, in the first banner, there is a test tube around the leaf, and in the second, there isn't. I first made the first, then thought what if the test tube looked out of place, or just weird, so I removed it and see if it did anything.

Again, if you want to use it, then go ahead, it's totally free, I just want to thank you of making this forum and filling people like me with knowledge of this growing hobby.

EDIT: I just realized there's more then one skin, although the default one doesn't seem to have a option to make a custom banner, if you choose to use this, I can make another version for the satellite one, just by changing the green to blue
