Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I've been experimenting with a non CO2 tank and for the most part it was going well. I got a bad case of green water though, and went out to pick up a uv sterilizer. Back ordered of course. Finally got it a couple days ago, hooked it up, kills the green water great. 2 days later and its MUCh improved.
Here comes the stupid part. I can't believe I did this. I hooked it up and ignored the tank for a couple days. Of course all that rotting green water polutes the tank. Lost all my amanos and my rubbernose.

Did a 75% WC today, will keep up with 20% for a week or so til I get things back on track. I don't know what I was thinking. I should of done the big WC first, then run the UV. Remove most of it before it rots in the tank.
Oh well. Its not the first time I've been a moron and won't be the last I'm sure. Just needed to vent someplace where people might understand.
