Milwaulkee pH controller? - 08-11-2005, 08:57 PM

Has anyone here used this controller and valve? Comments before I click the "buy now" button? I've got a hanna now that can't keep calibrated for mor than a few minutes (the pH checker).

Thanks,

- Jeff

I have that combo and it works pretty good. The probe needs to be calibrated every month or so. My probe lasted about 14 months before it needed replacing.

Got it on order - it's been difficult keeping my CO2 balanced in my tank. I am putting in prob 3-4 bps (55G) into a very effective reactor (based on the external design with bio-balls).

For some reason (overflow +sump) the water does not want to sustain a constant amount of CO2. pH is 7.2 one day, 6.8 the next, and 7.4 the next.

With this heavy bubble rate (I want to maintain a 6.6-6.8 with a dKh of 5-6) and it's been frustrating as hell. I also don't want to over-do it and see 50 floating cardnials when I get home either.

I ordered the unit - I hope this helps.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Have this controller, very pleased with it. Several years now, no problem with controller or probe. :gw
