Wanted to add my supply for DB Leonardite. PlantLighting Hydrophonics offers 3# @ $11.90. True Vision Hydrophonics sold 1# for $6.29 and 12# for $35.90. None of this included shipping. Got 12# today, everything arrived in good shape. If there is a better place (price), please let us (members) know. :gw

12lbs is a lot.
You can buy larger amounts, I think 50lb sacks.

I just do not need that much unless I'm doing a large tank.

I'm talking with a couple suppliers right now about sourcing it ... I'll probably have 100 pounds of it here in a couple weeks to share with friends on a first come first served basis ... It's appears to be a messy product, and I'm just not sure I want to mess with it <grin> ...

So if anyone else knows of any other credible suppliers ... please jump in and save me from this mess <grin> ...

Greg, selling this would be a good idea, one stop shopping.

And bagging it up if not too awful, it's coal, but young coal.
So it can be dusty, the DB stuff is not bad, it does well and is not messy for the aquarist, but bagging it up etc, might prove toublesome/dusty.

Still, it's a perfect item to carry.
And we will all bug you about selling it.

Any other brands of leonardite out there that you would recommend besides Diamond Black?

I don't like anyone has tried the other brands truthfully.

I've gone to ADA soils, which certainly seem better and cheaper......at least with DB brand.
