I know that this has been discussed a lot over here, but I really need an advice:
Im intending to get a nice CO2 system and after a long time reading posts and websites about regulators I decided to go for the Sumo. I have written an email to Sumo and Mike and Sergio told me, that they really doubt that it will be possible to use them in Bulgaria, concidering the USA standart CGA and its compatibility with the EU gas bottles.
Does anybody have any experience with this problem and could you please offer me a decent solution for use in Europe

Hi,
I find it hard to believe that the gas connector would be terribly different. I use this from Malaysia which is assembled for the American market. The solenoid's electrical plug is even American but the pneumatic fitting work perfectly in England.

This can be used either on the UK/EU standard industrial gas CO2 cylinders or on CO2 Fire Extinguisher cylinders. I'm not sure about Bulgarian pneumatic fittings though.

Thank you, I suppose it will not be impossible to find a fitting to attach it to the conventional gas bottle in Bulgaria. But it wasnt easy for me to check this from pictures on the web. I will give it a go and will report

I tried to find you an exact specification of the regulator inlet and it's cylinder coupling. This is the company that supplies my CO2 - the BOC Industrial Gas supply (which is a monopoly here). Here is a sample of the CO2 low flow regulators they sell: BOC Industrial - The BOC CD-ROM 2006

Buying this one is out of the question because it costs over 200 Euros but I showed the link because it gives the specification of the regulator fittings so it must fit the cylinders. If you click on the specification tab it shows the inlet connection as a "0.860 Whit BS341 no. 8". The only useful thing I could find using this as a search parameter in google was this site from a company that makes the cylinder valves Tekno Valves :: Manufacturer of All Types of Valves, Gas Cylinder Valves, Chlorine Valves, Oxygen Valves, Acetylene valves, Hydrogen Valves, Carbon Dioxide Valves, Ammonia Valves, Medical Valves This pages give a very interesting dimensional schematic of the cylinder valve so you might be able to use this data to find the right adapter if necessary. You can also contact the BOC directly for more information.
