what water to use for planted aquarium?
have been using tap water for our aquarium now family just install purification system, should I use purification water now?
(think it is RO water, have small tank under the sink with 3 filter canister.)

Tap water is okay in most cases. You should at least test it for PH and hardness so you have an idea of what it is. Your local water company may be able to provide more detailed analysis of your water.

You can use products like Prime to dechlorinate....

If it is an RO unit, this water will need to be mixed with other water anyway, before it can be used.

Filtered water is better than tap in general as they remove some contaminants.

I change 50-60% of my water weekly on my 180 using tap water and Prime with no issues.

Should make sure for definite its RO.

If its for drinking water then I doubt its RO.
Although by the description, it sounds like an RO unit.

Also, if it IS RO, you should mix it with tap water as RO water has no trace elements or anything at all.

I don't use it myself but this is what I understand to be true.

May want to do a search on RO water and mixing.

on my discus tank I use RO/DI water and add trace elements. But I also add a few gallons of tap water
