Current USA's POWERBRITE LED lighting - 05-13-2008, 12:39 AM

Has anyone used or seen these lights? I'm not finding a lot of detailed information or photos of them in-use. I am wondering how they would work for freshwater planted tanks. Not a bad price, but I have no idea how the lumens rating "converts" to plant usage. Also, whether they are dimmable. I like the idea of simulating sunrise and sunset for a variety of tanks, actually...

AM makes dimmable/programmable lighting, see their infinity series, runs about 1000-2000$ cheaper than these.

These are way over priced still.
Wait 5 years.

These seemed to be priced at ~$60, however...

Am I missing something?

Sure:
Solaris LED Hood PFO lighting Inc > Home ( DNN 4.0.3 )

I think I mixed up Current and PFO.........

anyway, the items you have listed there are moon lights, not actual lights for plants.........

You would need many of them like the PFO to do the same thing.

48 inch Giesemann Moonlight Infiniti 2x250W HQI + 4x54W T5 Light Fixture - Silver (48in )

Actually a Geismann

Ahh... Effect lights, not main lights. I got it.

I'm looking forward to programmable/dimmable color temperature customizing (on the fly) LED lighting fixtures in the future. I would really love to have programmed sunrise/midday/sunset that alters by color temperature and brightness. Probably not *too* far off in the future...

I mean much more affordable and common, that is...
