Troica Master Grow - 05-03-2008, 03:13 AM

Does Tropica Master Grow (or Aqua Care as it si called now) have iron in it? Or does it only contain traces?

Shane,

Tom Barr told me in a past thread that TMG has iron in it.

Here's the link to the old thread: iron needed?

I also have ADA Aqua Soil which has some too.

Ted

Thanks tedr108,

I use aqasoil as well. I am dosing 14ml/week in my 50 gallons (actual water) tank. I noticed you are dosing substantially more. How much TMG should I be dosing?

Shane,

I'm no expert but you should probably be in the range below:

Quote:
General Dosing Guideline for High Light and well planted aquariums.

40-60 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- 3/4 tsp GH booster once a week(water change only)
+/- 1/8 (10ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

This was quoted from the following thread: EI light: for those less techy folks

If you have high light and lots of plants and good flow in your tank and injected CO2 so you are around 30ppm, you should be able to follow that routine without incident.

I don't need the GH booster where I live because my water is very hard, so I skip it.

Read up on EI in the EI Forum when you get time, which is where I found that thread.

Regards,
Ted

The Tropica site(?) as well as their label has the ranges and what all is in it.
It's a bit light on Fe so I do tend to add a bit more.

Tom Barr

The bottle has nothing on it. Not even the recommended dosing. The instructions simply say 5mL for 50L of water. The instructions have nothing in it regarding what is actually in the liquid.
