2x54 HO T5 over 75 gallon - 10-19-2007, 12:39 AM

My 2x65 watt PC fixture gave up the ghost and I replaced it with a 2x54 HO T5 fixture on my standard 55 gallon. I plan on moving up to a 75 gallon in a month or so. The T5 lights are so much brighter than the PC's that I'd not have believed it without seeing it. My question is, is the T5 fixture enough for a 75 gallon to grow plants that I currently have - l. aromatica, riccia, l. cuba, tonina, riccia, etc or will I need to add another T5 bulb?

Jeff

as far as I can tell, none of the plants in that tank are high light demanding, like the Tonina you have.... Not sure it would do well under so little light.

T. belem ought to do fine if you place in near the middle and not have that much shading on the sides etc. T fluvitalis? Yes, likely would need a little more.

It's T. belem and has been good but not spectacular under 2x65 PC in the 55.
