Hi people!
A dear friend of mine (Mauricio) went to dive in a place that all of you really should go at least once in lifetime!
Here are some pictures that he has shared in his HP.

Baia Bonita

Best regards, and see you all there someday!

The USA has a couple of places like these same rivers, different species, but same type of feel etc and same type of hydrology and plant growth, the Springs in Florida are similar as are a couple in Texas.

Most of the rivers etc in the South America and elsewhere in the world tend to be very murky and low/no visibility.

These limestone karst sprign fed rivers are very clear, full of CO2 and nutrients.
They are also very stable unlike most aquatic systems, the plants have been maintained at this level via priest historical records going back 500 years in the springs in Florida.

Same temp, same plants, same chemistry etc.

Thanks for the photo's, folks should take a look at them.

If you live in the USa and cannot get down there, stop off in Florida for the plant fest, we also go down to the coral reefs and seagrass beds in the Florida Keys.

Next best thing.
There are more plant species etc in the southern region of Guyana in some spots, far more than the Amazon proper and the Pantanal combined.

I'll be heading to the Pantanal and northern Brasil/Guyana later next year and hope to make it to Okovango delta in Africa.

Regards,
Tom Barr

Some parts of the pictures are like taken out of a nice aquascape - or was it the other way around.

Some reminds me of the ADA-gallery 2006-photos I'we seen

Great link - thanks
