AH Supply sells 7800K bulbs. Does anyone know if they work as well as 6700's. They supposedly are a little bluer than the 6700's and I tend to like the blue light as far as how it makes the tank look.

I've no personal experience with the said bulbs but suspect they will perform just as well.

IME colour temp isn't a major issue with regards plant growth. If there's enough light and nutrients then the plants will do fine with most tubes, regardless of color temp, CRI etc.

I choose what suits my aesthetic sensibility and taste, and let the plants adapt.
