Nitrogen deficient? - 02-21-2007, 03:23 PM

Hey all,

My Hygro. polysmerma grows like a mad thing, as they do.. but Ive noticed that some new growth is showing signs of a deficiency.. redish tinge to the leaves, and mis-shapen new leaves as well, some of them appear crinkly. Ive read this could be nitrogen deficiency.. am I right?

I dose EI, but dont put in much KNO3 as my tapwater is 30ppm out of the tap. Should I dose KNO3 on mon/wed do you think?

I would, sounds like low NO3.
Tap might have high NO3 today, but after spring melt and seasonal changes, that can change a fair amount, do not rely too much of tap water nutrient levels.
