Lighting a tall tank - 11-24-2006, 01:19 AM

I just bought a 30" high, 48" Long and 24"wide 150 gal tank. I plan to light it with a 270 watt Coralife 6700k fixture. Is this enough light for a high tank?

Yes, a friend has a great tank, 24x24x48, 120 with 220 of PC lighting from A&H.

6" is not going to make much difference, his lights are 6" above the water on a wood hood.

Regards,
