Java fern and Bolbitis question - 11-21-2006, 10:43 PM

I have a tons of Java fern (Narrow,Philippine,Tropica,Windelov)and Bolbitis but some of their leaves have darkened. If I cut the leaves and just tie the rhizomes on a piece of driftwood, will it eventually grow back?
I plan to do this because it will make my life easier when I move to another place. Would'nt it be neat to just bring the rhizomes with me thereby reducing the need for big containers to store the plants.

Add more CO2, that's most likely where you went wrong with these two plants.
