I am beginning to set up a 46 gallon, non CO2, planted tank. My tap water is as follows:
Al,B,Cd,Cr,Mn,Mo,Ni-Negligible
Ca- 11.5 ppm
Cu- .11 ppm
Fe- .o1 ppm
P- .3 ppm
K- 1.7 ppm
N- .64 ppm
Na- 4.1 ppm
Zn- .02 ppm
Flourite substrate, light peat, mulm, Florish tabs. OTB filter, heater, 96 watt Cora Life CF's.
I would like to use potassium nitrate, potassium phosphate, TMG, and Excel, for ferts and nutrients. CaCl and MgSO4 as needed.
My question is, basically, what weekly/daily fert regimen do I need to maintain for good plant growth? Would a weekly 50% water change be beneficial for a non CO2 tank? I have a large stick in the tank that wants to float. Anyway of keeping that down short of an anchor? Tom, do use still have some Cuba? Could use some, along with some Crypt Spiralis. Will Ricca thrive if wrapped around a piece of wood with a hairnet?
