I've just set up a piping system so I can drain and refill directly into my tank. Now I'm wondering a couple things.

First, I can no longer add chlorine remover to the water I'm adding so is it OK to just add it directly to the tank just before I refill? Do I use the same amount as always?

Secondly, I have a whole house carbon filtration system so will this remove all the chlorine and chloramines anyway?

Whole house carbon systems do remove the Chlorine, as long as you change the carbon on schedule..........

You can also simply squirt the Amquel/Prime etc into the tank as you refill, that's all I've ever done for 32 years.
