I am planning on setting up a R/O system with a large (at least 100 gallon) holding tank. I keep a lot of south american catfish and want to try my hand at breeding some of them.

Tom, I think about a year ago on the APD you were discussing a really cheap place to get the R/O system. Do you remember where it was? Does anybody have any leads or recommendations?

You can buy a bare bones RO, then add prefilters and a post DI if you want.
Those run about 20$ each for each and then you can but the inserts, Carbon blocks, Micron filters, refillable DI stuff etc.

Cories and a very few other seem to like softer water, but most do not care.
