The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society (GSAS) is pleased to sponsor a free lecture on 'Raising Fish for Fun and Profit' by the internationally known aquarist, author, speaker, and Discus Specialist ......Dick Au.
You may remember that Dick did a presentation for us in October of 2010 on Discus and he is back by popular demand! Dick Au is a veteran speaker and show judge for the aquarium hobby. Widely sought after, his no-nonsense, experience-based lectures have gained him wide recognition. Most recently, he lectured at the 2009 Aquarama in Singapore, at the 2010 NADA Convention in Dallas as well as at many aquarium societies in the country. With over 50 years in the hobby, Dick is an experienced tropical fish breeder, and an accomplished author. He authored two books on discus -- the Back to Nature: A Guide to Discus and Trophy Discus. He is also a frequent contributor to Aquarium Fish International, Tropical Fish Hobbyist (TFH) and Diskus Brief magazines.
The lecture will be next Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 at 7:30PM at Seattle Pacific University; Otto Miller Hall; Room 109; West Nickerson Street and 3rd Avenue West
Doors will open around 7:10PM; the meeting will start at about 7:30PM
The lecture will be followed by a short auction
Open to the public, no entrance fee
Family friendly but no childcare provided
Free parking, accessible building
No furry or feathered pets
