Ei Dry Fert Method - 01-10-2008, 12:45 PM

I'm using the dry ferts K2S04, KH2P04 & KN03. My method has been to pre-mix each powdered fert individually in a little jug with some tank water, just before pouring the solution in the tank.

I'm wondering, can I pre-mix all 3 ferts together in the same little jug, with tank water, & then pour it in the tank all at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, just do NOT mix traces and PO4 together.
Fe and PO4 more specifically.

Thanks for that edit, you knew what I meant

One one of the other forums it was noted that sometimes you can mix trace mixtures having chelated iron in them with phosphates with no problems. It depends on the chelator and on keeping the pH of the mixture down around 6 or lower by adding muriatic acid, for example. I haven't tried this, but the fellow who did had no precipitate.

There must be a way to mix all of them together.
Tropica Plant Nutrition + N&P, is a mix of traces, P and N.
The P in Tropica must be in PO4 form, or?

Regards, Dusko.

Sure, if you do not add a lot, or use other binding/chelators and acids.
