My DIY External CO2 Reactor

Rating: 2 votes, 4.50 average.
Hi

I thought I would share my DIY external in line CO2 reactor

I made this, one afternoon in about 15min. It cost me about £15.

I have made it so that the ends can be taken off, you can then fill it with some media to aid reaction, I'm using some CIRAX.

I have used :

Acrylic tubing 50mm diameter x 500mm length (I chose these dimensions due to other parts availability)
2x waste end caps with access
2x 15mmx1/2” tank connectors
Some CO2 tubing
7mm Stop valve

It is very simple to make you will require a drill and some solvent cement. Stick the end caps onto the Acrylic tube using the solvent (leave for 10min to dry/set), while this is happening, take the end cap covers and drill a 20mm hole in the centre, attach the tank connectors and tighten up against the washer. In one of the end cap covers drill a 5mm hole for the CO2 tubing, thread the tubing through and connect the stop valve.

DONE, fill with media if you wish and connect up.

I used clear Acrylic as I wanted to see inside when online, but you could just use waste pipe if you wanted.
