EI dosing - do I increase? - 04-01-2008, 08:12 PM

I've a heavily planted tank with 1.7wpg, pressurised co2, ei dosing, adding flourish and flourish iron on the 'non macro days', use eco complete substrate

after 3 weeks of ei dosing i'm seeing a significant difference and no algae (apart from the one very small patch on a rock)

however still seeing the odd hole on the odd plant, most noticeable on the tiger lotus and a little on the vals

question is do i up my ei dosing?

Do you have snails or a pleco?

I'd look at the inhabitants before I went messing with your fertilization routine if the plants are all looking healthy.

You will not need to add more.
Since the tank is new, some plants take time to settle in.

The weird growth can occur for a few weeks, and is pretty normal, even if you transplant terrestrial plants, they can respond the same way.
