How much Ca and Mg? in ppm's - 11-17-2007, 10:34 PM

I'm just looking to find out what the ideal amount of Ca and Mg would be, in ppm's. I got my hands on calcium chloride so I want to start dosing along with my epsom salts and I already know I have less than 5 ppm of Ca and Mg in my tap water.

Here's what I got....no ingredients listed, it's a white flaky substance a little coarser than regular activated carbon.

Spa Pure

Do you think this is calcium chloride?

It dissolves easily in water.
