Post-Water Change Pearling Observation - 11-01-2007, 08:51 PM

I've looked through a few old threads about this and didn't see this mentioned, but the way in which I change the water seems to affect the presence of this explosive pearling. It seems that when I just pour water directly into the tank it occurs, but when I place a tilted small bowl just below the waterline and pour into that (to reduce the disturbance) I don't seem to get much at all in the way of pearling subsequent to the change.

For what it's worth, it's a heavily planted 10 gallon tank with 5.1wpg, a glass CO2 diffuser and no algae.
