Hi, The ol’ gasbag, Biollante here, given my lack of success on the forum-posting front I will try messing up blogging. I am going to write my observations over 50 plus years of fish and plant keeping. I am going to avoid advice. These are my experiences, nothing more. If it happens that I do something differently from you, you are under no obligation change what you are doing. If what I write makes you angry, please go away, that is okay, I am not trying ...
Well thanks to Shoggoth and others, I got the bug to upgrade my 45 gal to a 120 gal. 48x24x24. Pre-drilled with overflows. Not sure what fish and plants yet but am thinking angels or discus. Hardware will be as follows most likely, but subject to change lol If angels than lots of grass like plants and some nice fat leaved swords or aponogetons, or larger anubias for egg laying........I love the new strains they have! I will do a closed canister loop ...
I thought I would try this DIY project. Most powerheads can be modified in a similar fashion. The flow rate is about 60 - 80gph. Perfect for two 2 L. yeast generators. Subscribers to the Barr Report can now maintain their own online member Blog. Member blogs function much like any other online blog, allowing you to post your blog posts, allow people to comment on your blog posts, and upload pictures. Enjoy. Thanks, Greg Watson
