This was a not so well photo chronicled stand and hood for my 150. The final photo's I wanted ran short since I ended up dropping my camera in the brush cleaning tub right when I got the hood back from Inyati.

I tried to incorporate all things in my last stand and hood that I hated.

I wanted ease of access to the inside of the tank.

Plenty of organized storage.

And most importantly electrical that was not a nightmare to turn things on and off during maintenence.

Only the left side bay has drawers. The center is another two shelves, bottom for the main electrical connections / timers to connect to the sub panel, and the top for ferts and testing supplies. The left is wide open and is where I keep the CO2 bottle, UV, and canister filter. and the recessed panel for electrical that makes it a breeze to turn things on and off. I even made a simple photo in Photoshop of the panel and what plugs in to where as a cheat sheet, and printed it off on photo paper.

The hood was coated with Inyati to spare any possibility of moisture damage. There are 6 125cfm whisper quite 6.5" fans, four blowing fresh air in and two pulling air out.

I like those drawers!
And the electric large switches.

Nice job making a stand and hood, but what is "Inyati"? And, why so many cooling fans?

Precisely what I was thinking, sooo many fans!
How did you arrange for out/inlet of the filter?

The fans are to keep the bulbs as cool as possible while the hood is closed, and to keep water temperatures down.

Inyati is a truck bedliner company. Basically a rubberized paint.

The tank has an overflow and a dry box that the plumbing is run trough. The bottom of the overflow is plugged and I hang the input of the XP4 into the overflow from the dry port.



The hood back marries up to the back and gets set in place over the bolts.
