I think it would be more useful if you compared the results of different substrate-fertilizer-lighting regimens rather than show what happened with just one of them.

Marine algae is different, like hair algae is.

I'm sure you can grow algae if you work at it, but many of us can do it naturally without a lot of effort, even as a byproduct of growing plants. We have that gift; you don't. You have others.
